Checkered Past was established in January 2000. Starting out as a five piece band featuring guitars, bass, keyboards, drums and vocals. In 2004 we added a threepiece horn section and in 2005 an additional lead singer.

Checkered Past plays a wide variety of rock from the 60's, 70's and 80's. Our playlist is constantly evolving and offers a great mix of dance pop, dance rock, popular rock, standards, southern rock and hard rock.

From The Allman Brothers to Santana, Commodores to Stevie Wonder, Steely Dan to Chicago, Van Morrison to Bruce Springsteen, Aerosmith to The Black Crowes, we play something for everyone.

Recent nightclub appearances include The Red Eyes Dock Bar in Grasonville, Purple Moose Saloon in Ocean City,
Golden Sports Bar in Ellicott City and High Topps Backstage Grill in Timonium.

Recent private party performances have included St. Partick's Dance, 40th and 50th birthday parties and Volvo Ocean
Race party at the Hippodrome Theater.

We have performed at many outdoor festivals including Towsontowne Spring Festival, Dundalk Heritage Fair,
Fells Point Festival and Baltimore Waterfront Festival.
